Our training and development philosophy is heavily based on the fundamentals, knowing the game, thinking the game and more importantly, having the intangibles. It isn't enough to just be skilled or athletically gifted. You also have to know how to execute, how to be a great teammate, how to persevere through adversity and have patience. That's what we teach here at Shift Basketball Training. We don't want to just develop skilled athletes, we want to develop disciplined, high-character athletes because we know those traits are what it will take to achieve dreams whether on the court or off.
At 15, it felt nearly impossible for me to play college basketball. The thought never even crossed my mind until I met the coach that changed my life. He believed in me, helped me develop and guided me through each decision. With his help, I eventually played at the Division I level (playing at James Madison University and Campbell University) and then at the professional level (playing in the NBA G-League, France, Colombia and Mexico). Ever since then, my goal was to impact someone else's life like he impacted mine, to not only help them develop their skill, but also instill belief and confidence in themselves and help them navigate their basketball journey. So let's get started together. I'll see you on the court.
